The 4 buckle closure system provides adjustability at the top 2 buckles offering versatility and comfort for larger legs or knee braces.
With a lots of parts of the boot replaceable and spare parts readily available , this alongside an extremely hard wearing sole means they offer a much longer lifespan then many other brands.
Gaerne boots are on the smaller side which is why the size conversion from EU to UK may seem wrong compared to conventional sizes. This is the correct conversion as per Gaerne's own Size Chart, their sizes are different due to the memory foam padding on the internals of the boot.
In average used condition, overall they are good however the white has discoloured due to continued exposure to muddy conditions, something that is hard to avoid with white boots.
The right boot does have wear to the sole as can be seen however if you are standing correctly on the balls of your feet then you shouldn't really be making any contact with the worn area. These would be ideal for someone just starting out who doesn't want to spend much money but also doesn't want to compromise on safety or as a spare pair of boots to keep in the van.
Replacement soles can be bought for these from Gaerne if you wanted to refresh them.
